Comedians To Bring Sex Robots to Life
The World’s Oldest Profession Gets an Upgrade
NEW YORK CITY, June 8th, 2016 – Gigahoes, the web series about artificially intelligent sex robots, launches its Kickstarter campaign for season 2 today. Most depictions of sex robots in media have been dramatic, and serious. Gigahoes is the first to look at the social and emotional impact sex robots will have on society through the use of humor and satire.
“We made the first season of Gigahoes on a shoestring budget. It was very indie and very much proof of concept.’ said co-creator Kevin Gilligan. ‘With the positive response the first season received, we’re ready to take Gigahoes to the next level.’
Created and written by comedians Adam Lash and Kevin Gilligan, Gigahoes is a workplace, family, sex positive, situational comedy unlike any seen before. Set in the mid 2030’s, the show follows Steven (played by Gilligan), who inherited the family business after his father’s untimely death. That business just happens to be an escort agency staffed by robots, called Artificial Intercourse. Steven must navigate his company through a challenging business landscape, or else he and his robot family will become obsolete.
‘Having sex with a human can be funny. Having sex with a robot is hilarious.’ Said co-creator Adam Lash. ‘Season 2 is going to be bigger and better, with new escort calls, new robots, and shocking revelations!’
The Kickstarter campaign will run for 60 days and can be found at Kickstarter.
